Colorado in August 2011

Most of the pictures we took of our trip to Grand Junction are still in Grand Junction...on Mom's computer. Here are a few I took of our last full day there.

The downtown area has really grown and developed since Kris and I were both kids. There is even a splash pad and play equipment on Main Street now when there used to be none. We took the kids to play in the water...a little too cold at 10:00am in the cool shadows of the old buildings, but the kids had fun nonetheless.

We also stopped in at the Main Street Cafe and had french fires and ice cream. Yummy treat.

The morning before the kids and I left for Denver to pick Kris up from the annual AAA conference, we went out to Palisade with Mom, Dad and Josh to buy peaches. We brought five boxes back to Michigan and froze them. There are no other peaches like Palisade peaches. It was hard to say goodbye to Nana, Papa and Josh!
