Keegan woke up yesterday morning exclaiming that he wanted to have a picnic. By mid morning the rain had stopped but looked as if it would start up again at any time. Around 1 p.m. We made our lunches then waited for Joel to wake up from his nap. We contemplated the many park options we have within walking distance, and decided on Stricker Pond Park. It's about three quarters of a mile from our home, just far enough for the little kids to get a good walk in. We ate lunch and played on the playground equipment and then it started to trickle. We took some fun photos especially when we walked around the pond. We even got to see a heron wading in the pond and then fly away. What a great way to spend a cool, rainy afternoon.
